James Heywood has worked in education, banking and finance, hospitality and publishing.
He completed his tertiary education in Australia studying European language and literature and also holds a teaching qualification for English as a foreign language. He speaks fluent French, very good Spanish and Turkish but quite appalling Italian.
James has lived and worked in France, New Zealand, Turkey and Australia. He is now based in Dubai.
In an ideal world he would spend most of his time backpacking and some of his time sleeping. In the real world he works as a freelance subeditor and as writer on various topics.
His current obsession is religion, even though he's a committed atheist.
